FairFake produces
deepfakes-for-good: fairfakes
We offer high-quality fairfakes for various domains such as media, entertainment and government, and give seminars on how deepfakes are produced and detected for educational purposes. We offer professional consultancy and training on the creation and detection of all available technologies: FaceSwaps, FaceSyncs, FaceMorphs and LipSyncs.
We carefully assess applications to produce fairfakes. We determine whether a project is accepted on the basis of a number of fairfake-for-good criteria. An important condition is that the fairfake makes a positive contribution to society, including art expression, satire, health, music, education, training, freedom of expression, inclusivity and education.
If you think your project meets our selection criteria, please contact us for the possibilities: info@fairfake.ai.
We offer the following technologies: FaceSwaps, FaceSyncs, FaceMorphs and LipSyncs.
FaceSwap
A faceswap is a technique in which the face or head of a (source) person is placed on a (target) person. An example is to give an actor a different face in a film. Another example is that someone imitates a person with that person’s face. This technique requires training data to create the faceswap. Requirements for training the faceswap models are videos of source and target persons.
FaceSync
With a facesync (also called re-enactment of the face), the (source) person can animate (control) a target (person). This technique requires training data to create the facesync. Prerequisites for training the models are videos of source and target persons.
FaceMorph
With a facemorph, the (source) person can animate (control) a target (person). This technique does not require training from the source person (but target person). This gives more flexibility, but is of less quality than the other techniques.
LipSync
In a lipsync, the voice of the source person controls the mouth movements of the target person. This technique does not require any training data to create the lipsync. This gives more flexibility, but is of less quality than the other techniques.
Detection of malicious deepfakes
Deepfake technology enables one to create malicious deepfakes as well. That’s not the purpose of FairFake. An important condition is that our fairfakes make a positive contribution to society, including art expression, satire, health, music, education, training, freedom of expression, inclusivity and education.
Our knowledge of making fairfakes allows us to thoroughly understand the deepfake technology. This knowledge has led to the development of our deepfake detection software. This allows malicious deepfakes to be detected and traced.
FAQ
This may vary per application (project). There is not one and the same technique that can be applied to all the different projects. On the basis of an intake, in which you explain your wishes, we look at the possibilities. The best solution + costs for your project will then be discussed with you.
